Accounting
Services
Accountants
offer a wide array of accounting services for both the small to
medium enterprise and the large corporation. All with the goal
of streamlining monetary efficiency and providing the best solutions
for understanding where the money is and where it's going.
/ Accounts Receivable
Accountants can be responsible for sending reminders to late bill
payees, and forwarding debts to collection firms in case of failure
to receive payment. This service is generally left under the care
of full-time accountants only; otherwise this is assigned to someone
else in the company.
/ Advice
Since accountants are in close contact with important fiscal
data, they may often be consulted by the company’s
management regarding financial advice. This includes calculating
profit margins, giving
an accurate and up-to-date analysis of the company’s budget,
and determining the actual amount of funds available for reinvestment
into the operation.
/ Audits
As accountants are responsible for making sure all records are
kept straight, they are in the best position to handle matters
should
the company face an audit. They are often the ones assigned to
go over the details of the company’s financial documents
and records with an auditor.
/ Invoices
Accountants are generally in charge of handling the company’s
invoices. It is their role to keep invoices current, accurate,
and easy to understand so that the company can receive the correct
payments
from customers and clients.
/ Payroll
System
The payroll system is usually the responsibility of accountants.
Their main task is to set up the system for the company and
ensure that it works without any discrepancies. When balancing
the budget
they can be asked for their input regarding how much the
employees get paid, and whether it is possible for the company
to grant
increases for that year or fiscal quarter.
/ Taxes (Annual Tax Return)
Accountants are often in charge of filing the annual tax
return, as they are specially trained to do this efficiently.
More
so, since accountants are in a position to do this more
effectively because
of their role in the company, they often end up saving
more money
compared to having the return filed by other employees.
/ Taxes (Value-Added Tax)
Although not offering any opportunities for the company
to save money by having it done by an accountant (unlike
annual
tax returns),
filing
VAT returns is still best handled by accountants due
to the complexity of the system that may baffle regular employees
not trained to
handled it.
